Single Black Mom Inspired by Madam CJ Walker Launches Makeup Franchise for Global Beauty Entrepreneurs

Nationwide — Meet Yana Johnson, a single mompreneur who launched Yana Cosmetics Makeup as a franchise opportunity for beauty entrepreneurs. After watching a movie about Madame CJ Walker, Yana quickly realized that all women need more business ownership opportunities. Soon after, her daughter, Gabriela, began to share her passion for beauty products and skincare, and this made Yana realize the demand for quality makeup for Black, brown, and tanned skin.

Just like in the movie, Yana started doing demonstrations in her kitchen and was encouraged by the women who would ask her for quality products and how to use them. They wanted affordable products that were easy to use for everyday use.

Yana began to develop the ‘Pro’ (professional) series of favorite products and shades and combined them to make up the range of foundations, blushers, lip gloss, shimmer, contour pallets, and mascara. Her products are cruelty-free, EWG verified, and richly pigmented. Some of her items are even certified vegan and free of parabens.

Currently, the Yana Pro Series is available globally on Amazon in Europe, Canada & Mexico. It includes product and professional beauty business training on how to become a Certified Franchisee/Beauty Entrepreneur in three months.

Yana comments, “In an industry worth $65 billion globally, solving the problem of quality cosmetics and availability is a problem that I never tire of. It’s my passion. Becoming a beauty entrepreneur has been a dream fulfilled and now I get to help others to do the same,” said Yana.

The Yana Makeup brand and Yana Pro Series are available online at Yana.international
