Nationwide — Nolan Wells’ mother, Christine Wells-Wonsley, is seeking access to her late son’s social media records as part of her efforts to gather information after his death. She filed subpoenas against several platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and others.
She submitted the court filings on Tuesday, requesting records connected to Nolan’s accounts from multiple social media companies. The subpoenas target platforms including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Life360, Snapchat, and TikTok.
According to TMZ, the requests ask the companies to provide account details such as past and current usernames, email addresses, phone numbers, display names, and IP addresses linked to account activity. Christine is also seeking information about logins, password changes, and other account-related data.
The subpoenas also seek access to messages, direct messages, chats, posts, stories, photos, videos, and other content stored on the accounts. They include requests for location data, metadata, friend-list history, and information about people who communicated with Nolan.
The move comes after Nolan was found dead following his disappearance on July 4. The 18-year-old was last seen partying with friends at Horn Island before he went missing.
Investigators previously learned that Nolan’s friends said he did not leave the island with them. They told authorities that Nolan planned to stay behind with a girl before he disappeared.
