Nelly and Ashanti to Star in New Docuseries on Peacock Following Their Life as a Couple and New Parents

Nationwide — Hip hop couple Nelly and Ashanti are currently filming a new docuseries that will follow their personal and professional lives. The show will also highlight their journey as new parents, following the birth of their first child last year.

“This is an opportunity for us to let people into our world,” said Nelly, born Cornell Haynes II, according to WBLS. “We’ve been through a lot, and we’re excited to show what’s real.”

The docuseries is produced by Critical Content, the same team that produced Netflix’s Sly and MTV’s Catfish. Nelly and Ashanti are executive producers alongside Jenny Daly and Oji Singletary.

Nelly, known for hits like “Hot In Herre” and “Ride With Me,” and Ashanti, famous for “Foolish” and “Rock Wit U,” have been filming the series over the past few months.

Nelly and Ashanti previously dated from 2003 to 2013 before rekindling their romance in 2023. They got married in a private ceremony in Missouri in December 2023. Ashanti gave birth to their first child in July 2024.

Both stars are no strangers to reality TV. Nelly starred in Nellyville and appeared in films like The Longest Yard, while Ashanti has been part of shows such as Army Wives and Love & Listings.
