Kim Kardashian Takes Important Exam to Become a Lawyer

Nationwide — Kim Kardashian is moving closer to becoming an attorney after taking the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE), a key test on legal ethics. While it isn’t part of the bar exam, passing the MPRE is crucial for law licensure.

Kim took the test at a California testing center in Alhambra, following the same rules as other candidates, according to TMZ. Her bodyguard had to wait outside since no guests were allowed in. This marks a significant step in her legal journey, which began in 2018 when she decided to pursue law like her late father, Robert Kardashian.

Though the MPRE is a key part of the path to bar admission, it is not the only step Kim has completed. In 2021, she passed the “baby bar” exam after three failed attempts. The “baby bar” is a smaller, preliminary exam that tests basic legal knowledge, and passing it was a significant achievement for Kim, who had no formal law degree.

Instead of attending law school, Kim has been learning through an apprenticeship under experienced attorneys. This non-traditional route has drawn attention but hasn’t stopped her from making an impact in criminal justice reform, a cause she’s deeply committed to.

Although not yet an attorney, Kim has already championed criminal justice causes, including campaigning for Alice Marie Johnson’s clemency, resulting in her release after a non-violent drug offense. Kim continues advocating for those incarcerated, pushing for reform within the legal system.
