Nationwide — Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is making headlines once again with a rumored new album titled WW3 that features a tracklist drawing widespread backlash. The eleven-song project, shared by DJ Akademiks on X (formerly Twitter), contains provocative titles such as “Heil Hitler,” “Hitler Ye and Jesus,” and “Free Diddy.” One track, “Bianca,” is named after Ye’s wife Bianca Censori, who has reportedly separated from the rapper following a string of public controversies.
According to Algemeiner, the album’s content, particularly the use of Nazi symbolism and references to Adolf Hitler, has sparked outrage across social media. In the track “Bianca,” Ye appears to address his fractured relationship with Censori, referencing her emotional distress and desire for distance. “Until Bianca’s back I stay up all night I’m not going to sleep / I really don’t know where she’s at,” he raps, implying her departure is linked to his recent behavior and inflammatory posts.
Adding to the controversy, Ye recently appeared in an interview with DJ Akademiks wearing a Ku Klux Klan-inspired black hood after initially donning a t-shirt designed by Sean “Diddy” Combs and a pendant shaped like a swastika. Ye claimed the hooded outfit was custom-made and said he originally planned to wear it in public but feared being hospitalized due to its offensive nature. He also described himself as “the closest thing to God on Earth” in the same interview, a claim that further alienated many listeners.
Ye’s actions have continued to attract criticism following a recent post that included a handwritten WW3 tracklist alongside drawings of two black swastikas. The cover art he shared shows a couple in modified KKK robes, edited so that the male figure appears to be Black. The image, believed to be from a 2015 KKK wedding in Tennessee, has fueled ongoing accusations that Ye is using shock value and hate symbols to gain attention and provoke outrage.
Fans and critics have reacted strongly to the announcement, with many stating they will not support the project. “We will NOT be tuning into this,” one person posted, while others expressed disappointment over Ye’s continued descent into extremism. Despite releasing the title track “WW3” on YouTube last week, the song was swiftly removed from Spotify, possibly due to its content. In the lyrics, Ye defends himself from accusations of antisemitism and doubles down on his use of Nazi imagery, rapping, “Rockin’ swastikas ’cause all my ni–as Nazis.”
While WW3 is generating attention, some fans are still anticipating another upcoming album titled Bully. Ye previously stated the project was inspired by his son, Saint, and would be released on his daughter North’s birthday in June. He has already teased multiple versions of Bully online, but with the explosive nature of WW3, it’s unclear how or if the two projects will coexist. Whether WW3 is ultimately released or shelved remains to be seen, but Ye’s latest moves continue to ignite public debate and criticism.
