Kaavia James Wishes Gabrielle Union A ‘Loud’ Happy Birthday

Gabrielle Union turned 52 over the weekend and received an adorable happy birthday message from her 4-year-old daughter Kaavia James.

On Sunday, Oct. 29, Kaavia shared a heartfelt video message to her celebrity mom wishing her a “loud” happy birthday.

“Happy Birthday to my Mommy! Hope this next year is as strong as your genes,” the post’s caption read.

In the short video message, Kaavia takes a break from eating her breakfast to say “Happy Birthday” to her mom who is away on business and not able to celebrate her special day with her daughter.

“I just love you so much. I want you to come back,” Kaavia tells the camera. “And I love you so much.”

She blew a kiss to the camera before telling Union she loves her three more times. Kaavia concluded her birthday message with a special reminder to the “Being Mary Jane” star.

“Oh, I just need to say one more thing. When it’s your birthday, you can be loud. You can be anything you want,” Kaavia said through hand claps.

“I wonder what you’re gonna wear,” she added.

Union responded to the post with laughing emojis in response to her daughter’s message.

“She said I can be loud!!!!” she exclaimed.

Last month, Union shared a heartfelt video explaining why believes she “became a mom at the right time” in response to questions she receives about if having children so late was “worth it.”

“There’s a lot that goes into that answer, but in a nutshell, hell yes it’s been worth it,” she quipped.

The “Bring It On” star admitted to wishing she had “done it earlier” to have more time with her daughter and as a mother. But she also noted how much being a mother has changed her in “wondrous” ways.

“I became a mom at the right time because I was healed and I had committed to healing eternally so I didn’t pass all that generational trauma on to Kaav,” Union explained.

“She is the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” she added.
