Nationwide — Janet Jackson has announced that she will begin a new residency in Las Vegas in the coming months. The 58-year-old legendary singer is set to perform a series of concerts at Resorts World Las Vegas, with the first shows expected to launch around the holiday season.
Her manager, Mo Elmasri, expressed excitement about the residency, stating, “We are thrilled to announce Janet’s upcoming residency at Resorts World Las Vegas. This partnership offers a unique opportunity to celebrate her legacy and deliver unforgettable performances. The energy and excitement of Las Vegas, especially around the holiday season, make it the perfect setting for this new chapter. Janet is excited to connect with her fans and bring her iconic music to life in a fresh and dynamic way.”
According to TMZ, Janet previously had a Vegas residency, “Metamorphosis,” at Park MGM in 2019. And reports indicate that she is in the final stages of finalizing her deal, with TMZ initially breaking the news about the shows. Additionally, sources suggest that the “Velvet Rope” singer will be performing a special New Year’s Eve show at the venue to ring in 2025.
Janet reportedly declined a residency offer in London in favor of the more lucrative deal in Las Vegas. She recently completed her much-anticipated Together Again Tour, which included 35 performances.
In related news, Celine Dion is also negotiating her own residency at Resorts World Las Vegas. The residency, expected to start in November or early 2025, depends on the severity of her battle with stiff person syndrome.
