Candace Owens Calls Trump a “Coward” for Not Delivering on His Promises to Americans

Nationwide — Longtime Trump supporter Candace Owens is criticizing President Donald Trump for breaking campaign promises, saying he has betrayed voters and dragged the U.S. into needless conflicts abroad. She calls the president a coward for prioritizing politics over American lives.

Owens, 36, made the remarks in a March 9 episode of her YouTube podcast. She said Trump, 79, has failed to deliver on key pledges he made to supporters. “Donald Trump has very clearly betrayed the American people,” she said, adding that he has disappointed those who helped bring him into office.

According to AOL, she specifically cited Trump’s promises, including lower gas prices and an end to “forever wars.” She argued that recent U.S. actions, including airstrikes on Iran, go against those commitments.

She said the strikes hit multiple targets in Iran, including a school, and led to heavy casualties, with reports claiming hundreds of deaths, mostly children. The strikes also reportedly targeted Iranian leadership, with Mojtaba Khamenei named as the new Supreme Leader.

Owens also blamed Trump for U.S. military deaths tied to the ongoing conflict. She called him a coward and claimed his late friend Charlie Kirk was the “first casualty” of the Iran conflict. Kirk, a Turning Point founder, was shot in Utah in 2025.

Owens, once a strong Trump supporter, said she has since distanced herself from his political movement. She said she is “off that hardcore MAGA Trump train,” arguing that his leadership has shifted away from what supporters expected. Still, she said Americans are beginning to see how political divisions on both sides can lead to repeated cycles of frustration and loss.
