With a lackluster record of 21-33, the Brooklyn Nets have decided to terminate their head coach, Jacque Vaughn

The Brooklyn Nets are making moves to jumpstart the lackluster season they are currently having. With a record of  21-33 at the midpoint of the NBA season, the team has terminated head coach Jacque Vaughn.

The team made the announcement on Monday, Feb. 19. An interim coach has not been named yet.

The Brooklyn Nets have relieved Jacque Vaughn of his head coaching duties. An interim head coach will be named in the near future.

“This was an incredibly difficult decision, but one we feel is in the best interest of the team going forward,” Nets GM, Sean Marks, said in a written statement. “Jacque has represented this organization with exemplary character and class for the past eight years. The consistent positivity and passion he poured into our team daily will remain with the players and staff he interacted with throughout his tenure.”
