Black-Owned Brand Launches Ongoing Lace Wig Install Challenge to Help 1,000’s of Black Women Suffering from Alopecia

Nationwide — Shemika Jackson, the founder and CEO of Kafune Amor Hair, a Black-owned company that specializes in custom-made wigs for women suffering from alopecia or thinning hair, has launched the first-ever ongoing Lace Wig Install Challenge. Shemika says that she started the company after her own personal experience with alopecia, and has since been helping other women with alopecia to have more confidence and to feel beautiful.

The challenge, which occurs every six weeks, is designed specifically for women with alopecia and is focused on helping them to learn how to install their own lace wigs in the comfort of their own homes.

There is a large number of Black women affected by alopecia. One study showed that out of approximately 5,600 women surveyed, 47.6 percent reported hair loss on the crown or top of the scalp. And out of that percentage 40.9 % of those women reporting the hair loss had symptoms similar to CCCA scarring alopecia. So 1065 women out of the 5600 surveyed. This is 19% of the women surveyed.

Alopecia is a condition that affects many women emotionally and psychologically, and Shemika Jackson knows firsthand the impact it can have. As someone who suffers from scarring Cicatricial alopecia, a form of permanent hair loss, she founded Kafune Amor Hair to empower other women with alopecia and provide them with high-quality products and services to help them feel beautiful and confident again.

The Lace Wig Install Challenge is a 3-day virtual challenge that teaches women how to install their own lace wigs. It is the perfect solution for women who are self-conscious about their hair loss, women who don’t like going to salons because of their alopecia, or women who want to learn how to install their wigs without leaving the comfort of their own homes. This challenge is the first of its kind and focuses specifically on women with alopecia, making it a game-changer in the hair care industry.

Kafune Amor Hair offers a range of installation, maintenance, and removal products that are specially designed to work with lace wigs. The brand’s 4 step process makes their products easy to use and affordable, providing women with the tools they need to maintain their wigs and keep them looking beautiful.

“We are committed to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all of our customers are satisfied with their purchase,” said Jackson. “Our team is always available to answer any questions you may have and help you find the perfect product for your needs.”

Kafune Amor Hair is quickly becoming the leading brand for women wearing lace wigs and suffering from alopecia. The brand’s dedication to high-quality products, exceptional customer service, and its innovative Lace Wig Install Challenge are what sets it apart from other hair care brands.
