Black Attorney From Atlanta Joins Cast of TV Legal Drama Series

Nationwide — Atlanta attorney Tiffany M. Simmons (IG: @theplugslawyer) has joined the Street Legal television franchise as a main cast member in its new spin-off, Street Legal South. The new series has been filmed to completion and is slated to premiere later this year.

Popular with fans of Law and Order, Street Legal is a legal drama franchise that focuses on criminal defense lawyers working a criminal law case in each episode – but with a street edge.

The original series, Street Legal Detroit, premiered its first season in 2023 and season two will premiere in September 2024. The show’s programming and content – produced by Dennis Reed II, the single greatest producer of movies and television content on Tubi – can be watched on Tubi.

Tiffany comments, “I’m very grateful to be up with seasoned Tubi actors considering this is my very first TV series role. I play an attorney, Nicole Perry, who works for the fictitious law firm of Taylor & Associates. This character is nothing like me, so I was truly challenged in this new role.”

Tiffany is an attorney, actress, and producer. Her likable personality and passionate advocacy have landed her featured spots on media programs, including CNN, HLN’s After Dark, Dan Abram’s Law and Crime Network, and Court TV.

She also starred in the self-produced Hood Court, a reality court TV show with live Q&A and verdicts from its live viewing audience. Simmons is the owner and principal attorney of Simmons Law, LLC.
