Actor Malik Yoba Says He No Longer Identifies as a Black Man

Nationwide — Actor Malik Yoba recently announced that he no longer identifies as a Black man or a person of color. In a video, the 57-year-old actor stated, “What I am is a non-white man. And I think we should all just start calling ourselves non-white.”

“So, they’re gonna have to figure it out. Let them rebuke that. Let them refute it. Let them come up with something that just says, ‘We like all non-whites.’ Excuse me. ‘We don’t like all non-whites,’” he continued, as reported by Vibe.

Yoba explained his stance by saying America should recognize people as non-white instead of using terms like Black, BIPOC, or person of color. He believes this shift would challenge society to confront racial divisions in a new way.

Houston rapper Willie D shared his thoughts on Yoba’s comments, suggesting that Yoba’s message highlights the need for unity among non-white communities. Willie D explained that Donald Trump’s influence has unified white voters and that minorities should work together to protect their shared interests.

Yoba’s statement comes amid Trump’s executive order to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in federal workplaces. Trump justified this decision by claiming it would restore fairness and accountability in hiring processes.
